The idea for Smarter Horse was born when long time horse owner, Bo Johnson, felt the need to bring together information for both horse owners, and wannabe horse owners to better understand the horse.

Hi, I’m Bo Johnson, owner of Smarter Horse. I have been involved with horses all my life. Before I was born, my parents bought me a black and white pony that I rode while still in diapers. As a former western riding coach for 20+ years, I’ve helped turn countless horse enthusiasts into confident riders, and horse owners.
I have also operated a successful boarding stable for over 20 years, operated a kids camp, AQHA breeding program and both trained and helped many horses and their people understand each other better.
After having competed in most western events and taking a break to trail ride for a few years, I’ve now embarked upon a new journey in cutting with my two young AQHA cow bred horses Roo and Ali. Both are currently at a cutting horse trainers barn.
